Located in Austin, TX, Nulo is at home in the epi-center of a hip, active and pet-loving community where we enjoy seeing pet parents get out with their favorite four-footed friends.

Experience in Pet Care Our company started when our founders, who have a long history in professional pet care and education, began to see an escalation in overweight pets and the administration of at-home insulin shots for diabetic cats and dogs.

Pet Nutrition in Crisis A study of 6,000 households and 11,000 dogs and cats confirmed the alarming trend … pets were essentially living in a “fast food nation.” Just like many of our human counterparts, dogs and cats have been significantly overfed and often enticed with nutritionally poor ingredients. To make matters worse, many of the pet foods on the store shelf were discovered to be over 12 months old – severely decreasing the taste and the potency of nutritionally rich ingredients.

A Different Kind of Pet Food Company So Nulo set out to be a different kind of pet food company with no short cuts and using only the finest natural ingredients. Along with some of the brightest minds in the pet food industry, we began creating unique recipes using fresh chicken, lamb and salmon and paired them with yummy things like apples, carrots, lentils, and sweet potato.
