App Description

This app aims to keep Homerton up to date with news and events from the Homerton Union of Students JCR. It is the first time an Oxbridge JCR has created an app with the aim of streamlining all communications from websites, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter into one place.

The aim is not to bombard users with information, but to provide timely, well-chosen updates about what’s going on, as well as providing a platform with plenty of information about the JCR and the college. Homerton has a thriving Students’ Union offering a huge variety of sports clubs and societies for music, drama or anything you fancy. The app reflects this and includes links to the website, a timetable of events, contact details for the executive committee, and information about sports fixtures and hall menus.

Homerton is one of the most attractive colleges in Cambridge, with a mixture of old and new buildings set in spacious wooded grounds away from the noisy centre of town. It is also one of the largest colleges in terms of student numbers – 600 undergraduates and about as many postgraduates make up a diverse scholarly community.
