App Description

Get daily tide predictions for over 3000 stations in the United States. First choose a city or town, and then select from a list of the nearest tide monitoring stations. The low and high tide times are presented in a traditional tide table format.

Also included are rise, transit, and set times for the moon, and a list of annual moon phases.

Whether you live on the coast or near a river that experiences ocean tides and currents, this app will help you forecast water levels.

Please note, this app should not be used for navigation purposes. It does not take into account all factors that might affect the water level.

Tides are caused by the moon's gravity as it pulls on the sea. But wind and weather patterns also can affect tides. Strong offshore winds can move water away from coastlines, exaggerating low tides. Onshore winds can push water onto the shore, making low tides much less noticeable.

High-pressure weather systems can push down sea levels, leading to nice sunny days with particularly low tides. Low-pressure systems that lead to cloudy, rainy days often cause tides than are much higher than predicted, so watch out!
