App Description
The Gold Star Program app and its accompanying web site are designed to support the Gold Star and Veteran communities with useful tools and information and provide civilians with the means to become involved, learn more and even pay tribute by saying "Thanks."
The app is also the crowd-enabling tool by which over time we aim to tell the story of every Gold Star and Veteran that has served in the United States military. Through the app users can tell their loved one's stories by "Adding" themselves to our our ever-growing directory and map.
Finally, the app highlights recent news, upcoming events and nearby resources for the Gold Star and Veteran communities and allows users to create public or private collaboration areas to manage activity, calendars, messaging and alerts.
