Today we're going to have a look at some of the games that I think are going to make waves on mobile over the next six months of the year. Some of them are soft-launched, some of them are just announced, and some of them aren't even that.

2017 was a pretty outstanding year for mobile games, and one we won't soon forget. While you might still be working through your back log of positively brilliant games from the past year, we're still excited to see what the next year has in store. While we're expecting plenty of surprises along the way (that's the nature of the biz, after all), there are quite a few games already announced that we're eager to get a hold of. Here are five of our most anticipated games of 2018.
With the exception of Vainglory, few mobile games have managed to make their mark in the world of mainstream esports. However, 2017 was a pretty eventful year for competitive mobile games, and many have set their eyes on 2018 as the year that mobile games will finally have their breakthrough in esports.
We got our first look at Brawl Stars yesterday, and now it seems folks in Canada can try it for themselves, as the game's gone into a region-exclusive soft launch on iOS. While the game's not in a finished state, players in Canada can get an early taste for what's to come. There's still no word on when Brawl Stars will launch worldwide, but you can expect to wait a few months at the least.
Clash of Clans developer Supercell announced their next big game today -- Brawl Stars. It's a 3-vs-3 top-down shooter in that iconic, cartoony Supercell style. The company debuted gameplay footage via a live competition (above) today that also explained some of& Brawl Stars' finer details.
