Bottom Line: For a devoted Olloclip user, this is the case to use. Well made and it gets out of the way, without removing it, when using an Olloclip lens. Recommended.
As much as I love the Olloclip iPhone lens systems, there’s one glaring issue: the Olloclip just doesn’t work with any iPhone cases. Well, that was until Olloclip decided to make their own.
The Olloclip Quick-Flip case is a slim design case that covers the back and sides to the iPhone 5/5s, but it has one large addition: a flip-around corner. The corner of the case where the camera resides flips nearly 180 degrees around the phone to get out of the way and allow the Olloclip lens to fit. This allows use of the lenses without needing to remove the case. In addition, the flipped-around corner can act as a shutter; clicking the volume up button in apps that support that as a shutter release.
The Quick-Flip feels sturdy, and even after multiple flips the corner cover still snaps into place soundly. It also fits the phone snugly and doesn’t add much bulk. The price is really the only concern with this case. While it is certainly specialized, it’s also a specialized price at $50.
