FaceTime
FaceTime is a default iOS app which offers an incredibly simple and intuitive video calling solution.
You merely have to enter a name, email, or number of the person you're trying to reach and you're all set to spend some time with their face.
Skypeis your classic video calling app. In fact, it's so universally well-known that the name itself has almost become a verb.
The person you're calling does need to have a Skype account and be online at the time, so it's not quite as easy to use as Facetime, but you can chat over text and call landline and mobile numbers using Skype credit so there's a lot more here in terms of functionality.
