Old Man's Journey wanders back into the spotlight with a new gameplay trailer

People got a first glimpse of an early build of Old Man’s Journey at the 2016 Game Developer’s Conference, where it drew a lot of attention for its beautiful storybook visuals. Developer Broken Rules has now treated us to a fresh look at Old Man’s Journey’s gameplay, and we’re still just as excited for the finished product.

Old Man’s Journey, which was nominated for a 2017 IGF award for Excellence in Visual Arts is a puzzle game in which player shift the landscape around them to navigate the environment. You can grow and shrink the surrounding hills at will as you aid the old man on his journey. Along the way, we’ll find out more about the old man’s past in what Broken Rules says will be a moving tale of regret, hope, and a life well-lived.

The developers are also partnering with IndieFund to bring Old Man’s Journey to fruition on both PC and mobile later in 2017.
