148Apps's best games of 2017 - Jessica's list

It's been a pretty spectacular year for mobile games, with all sorts of unique titles sprouting up, many by surprise. With top-knotch games launching on a near weekly basis, it's been quite a task narrowing my top choices down to just ten entries. I've opted to present my list in no particular order -- these games all excel at very different things, excellent exemplars of what their genres do best. Without further ado, here are my favorite games of 2017.

Apple revealed the winners of its Apple Design Awards at the Worldwide Developers Conference 2017 yesterday. Celebrating the best in mobile App design, twelve programs, including both game and lifestyle apps alike, received awards from Apple for their sleek, stylish, and effective design.

Old Man's Journey wanders back into the spotlight with a new gameplay trailer

People got a first glimpse of an early build of Old Man’s Journey at the 2016 Game Developer’s Conference, where it drew a lot of attention for its beautiful storybook visuals. Developer Broken Rules has now treated us to a fresh look at Old Man’s Journey’s gameplay, and we’re still just as excited for the finished product.
