Embrace Greek Mythology With The Voyage Of Ulysses

Posted by Jennifer Allen on July 5th, 2012
+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad

I'm a big fan of educating people without them even realising they're learning something new. Frequently, it makes education more interesting and it breaks down the barriers that many have about studying. iOS apps often manage to do this through their interactive features, and that's exactly what The Voyage of Ulysses does.

The app is an interactive book that tells the story of Ulysses, one of the most famous tales of Ancient Greece. The app follows him as he prepares to launch the last attack before setting sail for Ithaca, amongst other things.

To dramatize the tale and ensure there's no risk of attentions waning, there's an array of interactive moments such as touch-sensitive animations, sound effects, moving figures that can be interacted with and objects that can be thrown or dragged. Readers can even tilt their iPad to interact with such objects. Throughout, there are stunning illustrations and a beautiful soundtrack to enjoy.

The Voyage of Ulysses is an ideal way to enjoy learning about Greek myths and historical figures. It's priced at $4.99 for the iPad.
