:: NOT SLUGGISHThis wouldn't be much fun if it were implemented in an obvious and unexciting way. Fortunately, Tiny Firemen makes teamwork great fun. Players take the role of a fireman team of Cat & Dog with one player controlling the firetruck while the other sprays the water, making for an enjoyable collaborative effort.
12 different animals require saving in Can Town but Tiny Firemen promises to be a frustration-free experience keeping young children happy throughout. As the screenshots show, it's a cute game to look at, reminiscent of kids' picture books, and there's a great classical piano based musical score.
Tiny Firemen is out now priced at $2.99 for an Universal build. There's also a free version for trying the game out with the option to unlock the full game via an in-app purchase.

:: INTERSTELLAR WARA certain British time-traveling hero is about to get a brand new iOS game, as Tag Games and the BBC have announced a brand-new Doctor Who game. Doctor Who: The Mazes of Time will be available on all iOS devices later this month, just in time for the holidays. Then again, given the good doctor's propensity for jumping around through time the game may be out already and we don't even know it. Quick! Look behind you!
The game is scheduled to land before Christmas so we should be seeing sometime within the next few weeks. While we're excited to try out a new Doctor Who game we're going to go with cautious optimism as recent digital editions of the franchise on other mediums haven't been all that well-regarded. Still, a co-op puzzle solving game is an interesting genre to tackle and one which we're not quite burnt out on yet. Thank heavens it's not yet another physics-based puzzle game, we've all had enough of those to last us several lifetimes.

ngmoco's new games have all been based off of the freemium play model. Whatever your opinions of freemium in other games, there's denying that for Eliminate, it's been a huge success; the online FPS has legions of dedicated fans. If you've tired of it in recent weeks, however, this might bring you back into the fold: ngmoco has released a new Eliminate app that adds a new and much-asked-for mode to the game. In the new co-op mode, two players team up to fight off the attacking bots. It includes a bunch of new loot to collect, so you can earn credits to upgrade your player's armor and weaponry. It's a lot of fun so far, and as a free update it's even better. Eliminate fans, go grab the new app!
