App Description

The catalog raisonné of António Dacosta (Angra do Heroismo, 1914 - Paris, 1990), released on the occasion of the centenary of his birth and simultaneously with an exhibition is the first digital catalog produced on a Portuguese artist, therefore an initiative pioneer in the area not only of artistic research, but also in the new digital platforms. The catalog is also available on the website.

The preparation of the book was done in all the works of Antonio Dacosta, accompanied by reproductions and enlarged documentation, from the physical and materials, its history, or the critical anthology of works. This background work, developed over four years, had the scientific coordination of Fernando Rosa Dias, the collaboration of a team of CAM Patricia Rosas, Rita Lopes Ferreira and Matilde Corrêa Mendes; the picture was the responsibility of Paulo Costa and Teresa Cartaxo, and Museography competed Carlos Catarino, Carlos Gonçalinho and José Nunes de Oliveira. Special thanks to Miriam Rewald Dacosta by decisive contribution to enable this ambitious project.
