Nordic Noir has its roots in Scandinavian crime & thriller film & fiction, a genre which exploded after the release of Stieg Larsson’s The Millennium Trilogy (The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo) books and films, and the hugely popular BBC FOUR-aired TV series, The Killing, Wallander, Borgen & The Bridge.

Nordic Noir embodies everything that we have come to love about Scandinavian culture, including the food and drink, fashion, interior design, furnishings and even the music! Nordic Noir magazine is, above all, a celebration of a culture that we have discovered through these dark and intriguing stories, and the talent behind them.
