App Description

"Lighthouses of the Balearic Islands – Ibiza + Formentera" is a well designed and informative app for all lighthouse fans, photographers, yachtsmen, sailors, Ibiza or Formentera holidaymakers, hikers and for many others. The app is combined with a free Photo Sharing web service in which users can share their own lighthouse photos.

The app presents all relevant lighthouses on Ibiza, Formentera and the small neighbouring islands. For each of the 10 lighthouses the app shows several impressive high-res photos (a total of 55 photos) which were taken by the photographer Helmut Kraus from land or from sea.
On three panels the app delivers detailed information on the lighthouse.
• Map panel: An animated beacon marks the location of the lighthouse on the map. With a tip on the map the lighthouses position is shown in GoogleMaps, so you can see where the lighthouse exactly is and how you will get there. Moreover, you receive journey tips.
• Lighthouse data panel: This panel shows in a neatly arranged way all technical specifications contained in the official lists of lights and fog signals.
• Info panel: Here you get background information on the history and the technology of the lighthouse.

The main island map indicates all lighthouses with their names, in the night view the beacons are animated. A tip on the name opens the lighthouse screen.
Alternatively the lighthouse can be selected from an alphabetical list or from a list with the international numbers.
All texts in the app are in German and in English language.

With the purchase of this app you get free access to our Photo Sharing web service, a subject-related photographers community. At Photo Sharing users can show their own photos of the lighthouses presented in the apps and share them with other internet users.

This app is part of a series presenting the lighthouses of all Balearic islands. The first app covering the lighthouses of Majorca and the small neighbouring islands is already available. The third with the lighthouses of Menorca will follow soon.
