App Description
A simple application allows you to find the nearest free Wi-Fi hotspots in St.
Petersburg on several data such as:
- your location,
- subway station,
- or address.
Moreover the application shows the name of place and the distance to where
hotspot is installed.
Application settings allow modify the searching radius from 100m to infinity
(searching the entire city). All points around are displayed on the map of the
city.
Additional features:
When the push-notification service is activated, you will receive messages with
information about nearest hotspots as you move around the city.
Following the color identifier you can determine whether the point belongs to
OBIT Free Wi-Fi or another operator network.
The application does not require the Internet-access. The program uses satellite
data, hence it is necessary to strengthen positioning by GPS (searching by
location and searching by the subway station). Internet-access is required to
search for by address and to display the points on a map.
