App Description
You've probably heard of programs designed to read through your Bible in a year. Some of you may have done these, or started one of these. This app is similar to those apps, but where many of those arrange verses for you to read from cover to cover, this app does not.
The readings for the entire year will come from the four gospels. Each day’s reading will be short, only a few verses (the readings will average between 7 and 8 verses per day). The readings follow the life of Christ in chronological order so that all four accounts are intermingled.
With this app, you start off after download with Day 1. The next day you open the app, it will add Day 2. It is designed so that you can download the app at anytime, and not be several months behind with readings. Forget to open the app for a few days? No worries: it will keep you at your next day so you don't get so far behind it feels daunting to get caught up. We would love you to use the app each day to read, but understand that things happen, so it will go with you at your own pace.
When you click on that day's reading, you will see the text from the Gospel for that day. Upon clicking the action button, you can choose to share that day's reading with others via Mail, Facebook, Twitter, or Messages (Standard SMS Rates May Apply). You can also Mark the verse as read to add a Checkmark showing you have read that day. You can also choose to view the full version online that adds a devotional message relating to the verses read.
You may also schedule a reminder to open the app and read. These reminders may be a one-time only event, or can be set to Repeat daily, always reminding you via Alert, Banner, or simply in the Notification Center that you need to read that day.
