App Description

It is estimated that about 17 and a half million Americans suffer from some form of depression, of whom only half receive the necessary treatment. Unfortunately, fear of social stigma towards mental illness still prevents many patients from openly addressing this serious condition.

This app aims to help patients and their families better understand depression. Users will learn about the causes of depression, the different ways the disease can express itself, and available treatment options. Know what you can do yourself in order to feel better, and learn how to help a loved one who suffers from depression.

If you suffer from depression, the first step towards treatment is an open conversation with someone you trust. It is estimated that 80% of all people with depression who receive treatment, significantly improve their lives.

This app includes the WHO Well Being Score, a tool used to monitor a patient’s emotional state.
