Edifice is an easy to access, mobile guide to the capital’s most significant buildings and architects. Written by professional architectural historians, and spanning almost 2,000 years, the app offers essential information, style guides and critical evaluations for each featured building, illuminated throughout with high quality photographs.
Use Edifice in three ways:
•track the work of individual architects, and see biographical profiles of the most important.
•compare buildings from the same era, and see outlines of the major architectural developments during each period.
•instantly see which interesting structures are nearby, wherever you happen to be, using the app's inbuilt GPS.
Edifice is designed to make your urban explorations both more entertaining and better informed. The major buildings of central London are now included, but the content will continue to expand until all the capital’s extraordinary architecture is covered. We hope you enjoy it!
