For Toby’s 10th birthday present, Dad has made him a magic train. It can go anywhere in the world – without rails or fuel. After visiting the seaside and Scotland, Dad, Toby – and his annoying sister Kate – go to Africa, which they are lucky to leave alive. They do return home, but both Dad and the train are injured. But, ever-inventive and optimistic, Dad already has plans for a bigger, better and stronger train.
