This manual contains most of the terms associated with gaming business.

By some as a curiosity in the mid-1970s, the computer and video game industry focused markets have become mainstream. They took in approximately $ 9500000000 in the U.S. in 2007 and 11.7 billion in 2008 (ESA annual report).
Modern PCs owe many advancements and innovations to the game industry: sound cards, graphics cards and 3D graphics accelerators, CD-ROM and DVD-ROM drives, a couple of significant improvements.
Sound cards have been developed alongside the digital sound quality, games, and improved later for the music and audiophiles. Early graphics cards are designed for more colors. Later graphics cards have been developed for graphical user interfaces (GUIs) and games. GUIs drove the need for high resolution, games drove 3D acceleration.
