App Description

Play and improve your arithmetic skills with this original game by Tarentola. Use the four keys of the Tiny Calculator to make a target number in a certain number of operations.

Tiny Calculator, is a game for developing mental math skills and number sense.
It challenges deeply your understanding of our number system.
To solve a problem you have to figure out ways to decompose a number into others.

There are 5 difficulty levels in the game (1-5). The difficulty level shows the number of operators you have to use to make the target number.
At the easiest level, you have to use just one operator to get the answer. Example: Use 5, 7, - and x to make 35 using one operation. As the difficulty level increases the problems get tougher. Example: use 3, 8, +, x to make 35 using 3 operations. How about using 3, 4, + and x to make 26 with 4 operations or 5, 6, -, x to make 69 with 5?

There are also 4 modes of play, Practice, Arcade, Time Attack and Diagnostic.

In Practice mode there is no clock, you solve the problem at your own pace.
In Arcade you have to solve each problem in a certain amount of time. If you fail to answer a problem, the game is over. When a game in this mode starts, you have 3 lives available. Each time you use a hint a life is taken away.
In Time Attack you try to answer as many questions as possible in a certain amount of time.
In Diagnostic you can't choose the level of difficulty. Each question has to be answered in a certain amount of time, but the game is not over if you don't answer a problem. At the end of the game, the application assigns you a grade between 0 and 100.

Tip: If at any time the result you obtain exceeds 100, think again. You don't have to go that far to solve the problem.

Note: The app is not compatible with iPhone 3G
