App Description
This application performs a simple link budget analysis of two telecommunications antenna given user inputs. Enter in the transmission power and gain, receiver power and gain, distance, and frequency and the calculator will show you: the equivalent isotropically radiated power (EIRP), free space loss, received power, and link margin. If you tap the down arrow, a set of miscellaneous losses will appear including: cable losses, radome losses, atmospheric losses and precipitation losses.
