Our Indian Takeaway is now well established within Ashington and its surrounding areas, Ashington is one of the most popular areas in the south-east of Northumberland, renowned for its mining community and the great sports captivators such as Jackie Milburn, Bobby Charlton, Steve Harmison and many more. Our regular customers from the nearby homes and businesses, as well as some who travel from further afield, are well established with the quality and taste of our great food. We continue to develop our place in the local community and look forward to welcoming customers both new and old to enjoy our speciality dishes. The name Taj comes from the Indian origin. In Sanskrit, the meaning of this Indian word is "Crown-Jewel”. Many centuries ago the crown was worn as a sign of honour and prestige. When the crown was worn by the Indian princes it showed a high rank. We welcome you to our takeaway with the perfect balance of flavours and textures fit for the prestige. Our fantastic ranges of Indian dishes are created using the freshest and highest quality of the unequalled selection of ingredients. Where possible, we look to source from local providers.
