App Description

The 3D Rupe Granary mobile app is part of a Dubrovnik Museums project entitled Multimedia Presentation of the Rupe Granary that aims to present all the cultural and historical, architectural and utilitarian features of the building in the context of the Dubrovnik Republic.
Dubrovnik Museums wishes to reinforce its role in raising the level of knowledge and awareness of the importance of preserving this unique piece of 16th-century architecture, now the home of the Ethnographic Museum. The application is meant for all citizens and visitors, both children and adults. Via the application, the architectural history of the building is presented systematically and integrally.
The mobile app presents in 3D the virtual world of the state Granary of the Dubrovnik Republic, in which the user can move about virtually and view 3D panoramas. The features can be seen in two ways: directly on the screen of a smartphone or with cardboard spectacles. The second way applies only to devices with a built-in gyroscope. Without a gyroscopic motion sensor, the spectacles cannot be used. After the app has been installed, assemble the cardboard spectacles and slot in your phone to immerse yourself in a 3D virtual world.
