This free version is limited to jazz performance and practice. It includes jazz exercises, standard song forms such as Blues, Rhythm Changes as well as some complete jazz standards progressions. Full harmonic analysis, functional harmony map, song editor and tools such as guitar fretboard, voicings & scales keyboards, history staff, 12-key workouts, reharmonizer, upper structures & target notes are only available in Mapping Tonal Harmony Pro.
The backing tracks in MTH Jazz Play-along use the same AI technology as in the pro version app: Mapping Tonal Harmony Pro which creates coherent and musical accompaniment tracks based on the harmonic progression of the songs (rather than a list of chords as all other apps do)
The music charts offer, not only the chord changes, but also guitar diagrams and the best chord-scale for every chord in the song.
The complete Jazz Standards repertoire and all Charlie Parker songs are available through the in-app purchases (with more than 1400 songs) The charts are stored using harmonic functions which allows MTH to create amazing accompaniment tracks and simulate different piano and guitar players.
