Updates based on EU State changes

App Description

I've always travelled. In the US, we have license plates for each state. In many European states, license plates show country, and also where from in the county When traveling in Europe and driving long distances, my wife and I enjoy looking at car license plates and learning where they are from.

The first letter(s) of the plate indicates the country; The next letters/numbers indicate the region of their country. For example, a country code of "TR" would mean the car is from Turkey, and if the first numbers were '38', that would indicate they are from a region called 'Kayseri'."

Select a plate and you'll see options to show a regional map and/or, the town's wiki page. Some states do not organize their license plates by geographical regions, and in these cases, you'll know where the car is from, and EuroPlates will display a country map.

Most of the license plate information comes from various hobbyist websites. A lot of country and regional information comes from Wikipedia. It's interesting to visit the Wikipedia pages as you'll learn about towns and cities of the folks who are driving by.

EuroPlates shows information for more than 50 European states, from Iceland to Azerbaijan; from Russia to Malta.
