App Description
The Robotics Engineering Notebook App is a digital documentation tool for VEX robotics competitions. The app will allow teams to document their daily progress including attendance and team management, photo documentation, and text-based journaling. Advanced feature include a scorekeeping mini-app and data collection for robot design experiments.
The Robotics Notebook App has the following useful and convenient features!
1. Team Management
The app will allow users to add, edit, and delete team members from the roster. Roster will only include first name, last name, and a photo. The app will allow the user to pick a photo from the camera roll or to take a new photo using the iPad camera.
The roster will be presented in the daily journal as checkboxes to allow easy tracking of attendance.
2. Daily Journal
The daily journal will keep an organized journal based on date. The journal will allow the following types of data elements:
Text entry
Photos
Video (future)
Audio recording (future)
This can be exported as a PDF for easy printing and submission as a robotics journal/notebook.
3. Scorekeeper
The app will include a scorekeeping section to be used for quick score calculations during practice matches. Scores can be saved in a journal so that the team can use this as part of their assessment of their progress. Scores from scorekeeping can be embedded into a journal entry.
