Classic Blackjack on AppStore
Retro jack is a single-deck, single-hand Blackjack variant. The dealer will deal two cards for both you and the dealer. Both of your cards will be face up, the dealer will have one up and one face down. You can choose to have the dealer hit you, and give you additional cards, or you can stay at any point. Face cards are worth ten points, and the Ace can be either eleven points or one, whichever creates a better hand.
If you are dealt a ten or face card along with an ace, that is a "Blackjack", and you win automatically regardless of the dealer's hand.
If your hand exceeds twenty-one, you have busted and lose.
If you take three hits, for a total of five cards without exceeding 21, that is a Five Card Charlie, and you win automatically.
If you don't get Blackjack, or a Five Card Charlie, once you press the Stay button, the dealer will flip over the face-down card, and then take hits as long as the dealer's hand shows a score of less than seventeen. Once the dealer's score exceeds seventeen, the hands will be compared.
If the dealer exceeds twenty-one, that is also a bust, and the dealer loses. Otherwise, whoever has the highest score wins. If you and the dealer have the same score, then it's considered a push, which constitutes a tie.
