In medieval Europe, it was believed that during the Halloween night, the souls of the dead in the cemetery rose for one wild, hideous carnival. Bonfires were lit to guide this souls on their way back to the cemetery in order to deflect them from haunting honest Christian folk. On those bonfires, people prayed for the dead souls and lit scarecrows as a symbol of death and fear.
This tradition is kept in some towns nowadays.
Today is Halloween and people are getting ready for tonight´s party. Lots of people are arriving to the cemetery to prepare the bonfires that will be burning the whole night.
You are a scarecrow from the church´s garden and it is supposed that you will burn in the cemetery bonfire tonight: Escape from the fire and try to survive this Halloween in a race full of obstacles!
