App Description
This WikiPal app enables you to quickly send a message to a friend or relative letting them know of a place you are at, interested in, or have recently visited. The receiver of the message simply taps on the message and, assuming this WikiPal app is on their device, information about the place is displayed. If the app is not installed then they are given an opportunity to download the app from the App Store.
WikiPal - Worldwide Wikipedia Messaging has over 572,000 worldwide Wikipedia & Wikivoyage geocoded places in its database. You can browse places around your current location or around a chosen location.
Because all place geocode information is resident in the app cellular data usage is kept to a minimum.
This app is an online messages only app. Other regional versions of WikiPal are available. The regional versions have considerable offline as well as messaging capabilities.
