This application provides information about historic Yosemite Gold Country including historic communities, sites, attractions and adventures in this historic Mother-Lode Gold Rush Region. The App contains information on the history and culture of the region, events and activities. Site descriptions are linked to Google Maps with easy to follow route descriptions for explorers of this historic region.
The App contains information on special locations in Yosemite National Park, such as Glacier Point, Wawona Big Trees, Tanya Lake and Yosemite Valley, etc. Old Gold Mining Ghost Towns old Gold Mines and more. The App also links up to other information sources about the rich history of the region, its historic sites, as well as modern day adventures and places to explore.
The App contains descriptions, photos and video of various regional points of interest such as the Historic Courthouse (1854), Old Town Mariposa, Coulterville, Bear Valley, Hornitos, the California State Mining and Mineral Museum, the Mariposa and Coulterville History Centers and much more. The Yosemite Gold Country Travel App also provides information on public transportation networks, and connections in the region.
