What's New

This app has been updated by Apple to use the latest Apple signing certificate.

Service release. No new functionality but compiled with Xcode 8 and Swift 3.0. Minimum IOS Version is now 9.0.

App Description

This App is an extension for the MeterReader2 App . It allows a team of two to work together. One person is using the master app, controlling all the jobs and readings and typing in the meter readings, while a second person is reading the values out. This second person can use the MeterReaderExtender2 to take a photo of that meter for documentation reasons.

MeterReader2 and MeterReaderExtender2 use Core Bluetooth for communication. This communication is enabled or disabled in the preference dialog of the MeterReader2 app. The MeterReader2 also stores the device name of the MeterReaderExtender2 after the first connection was established. From now on MeterReader2 will talk solely to the MeterReaderExtender2 on this device. If the user wants to connect to a different device, the name must be cleared in the preference dialog.

This app is a reimplementation of MeterReaderExtender with the same user interface. The difference is, that fotos are in the iCloud and not stored locally any more. As an advantage, the pictures will be displayed on the controlling MeterReader2 as. It is important, that both (MeterReader2 and MeterReaderExtender2) do use the same Apple ID.
The pictures are not transmitted via bluetooth. Transmission is done via the internet connection.
