With all the available video sharing apps, it’s hard to find a reason to explore another one. Six3 Video Share aims to change this because it’s unlike the rest. With its sleek interface and completely free purchase tag, it’s well worth considering.

When users are ready to get started, they have the choice of logging in through Facebook or email. Creating a video message is as simple as tapping on the record button. Users can then elect to either send a private or public video.

Those who wish to add a little pizzazz can choose one of six video filters. Six3 Video Share supports both the front and rear facing cameras. Once the record session starts, users have a maximum record time of 63 seconds (hence the name of the app).

After the video is created, select the video’s recipients. Users can send it to multiple people via address book contacts, email, Facebook, Twitter or other Six3 users. What’s great is that recipients don’t need to have the app in order to receive the video, but they can download it and utilize the internal share feature if they wish.

There are a few other features worth noting. There’s no registration needed to view a message, messages can be watched on any smart phone or PC, videos are stored in the cloud, recipient’s can watch videos directly on Facebook and the app works on Wi-Fi, 3G and 4G.

For a free video sharing app, there’s little to complain about. More video filter options and a way to save or store favorite videos to watch later would be ideal. It would also be convenient to stretch the video time for those who may need to send a lengthy message.

While sending a text message may be more ideal at times, nothing beats sending and receiving personal videos from loved ones. Video messaging may very well be more popular in the near future because it allows users to stay connected at a more intimate level, which is something that text messaging lacks. With our fast-paced life styles and desire to stay connected, Six3 Video Share is worthy of keeping on the home screen for those moments when a video message would do more justice than words.
