Siegefall is a medieval-themed game that's a lot like Clash of Clans.

Siegefall is another game that owes a lot to Clash of Clans. This makes it a bit conflicting because, well, it’s suitably entertaining but haven’t we played this all before? On the plus side, it does offer a few tweaks that makes it stand out more than usual.

This time round, the setting is a medieval fantasy world. You control a hero as well as sets of troops, as you set out to conquer all around you. You can directly control them too, which is a great relief for those who love to micromanage. Adding to some variety, there’s a magic cards system in play, meaning you can use them to cast spells, both of the healing variety and the more aggressive kind. They require crafting so this is also where further in-app purchases make their presence welcome.

Building your kingdom is a fairly typical process though, and a lot of the time you’re going to be waiting for timers to complete and cursing the fact that so much depends on resources. Sure it’s satisfying to get stronger and stronger, but the format is feeling a little tired now.
