Fripito is an interesting idea that gives you insight into new areas through photo guides, but it’s far from cheap. While it’s a free download, expect to pay $3.99 or more for each new guide - with only a few freebies out there.

That kind of makes sense, given the quality of the photography. Each guide offers up attractive photos of a location, as well as tips on the area, details about accommodation or food, as well as information on the camera settings used to create the effect. It works well as a kind of virtual tour guide, with maps keeping you further informed. Fripito isn’t short on detail, even if you are paying for the privilege. It’s simple to browse through too, with favorites easily added for future reference.

While Fripito could look a little more stylish, it is fascinating to get some insight into certain areas. Especially as there’s a focus on less familiar settings.
