Piano Tiles 2 is a fast-paced rhythm action high score chaser out now on iOS and Android.

You have to tap a series of black tiles that appear on the screen in time to the music, being careful not to accidentally hit anywhere else. Do that and it's game over.

As your score increases, so too will the pace. You really will need all of your reflexes if you plan on getting the higher scores.

To learn more about Piano Tiles 2, we spoke to Cheetah Mobile about its biggest inspirations, the community's favourite songs, and whether or not we can expect a Piano Tiles 3.

What have you learned from other mobile piano games that helped to improve Piano Tiles 2?

"Before developing Piano Tiles 2, our team tried a ton of similar mobile games on the market but walked away unimpressed.

"It did inspire us though, and we realised that the core of a game - and how well it performs - is in how it plays over anything else.

"With that in mind, we worked hard to provide the best user experience possible and to ensure that our players would have fun before anything else."

Which games is it most inspired by and how is this inspiration represented in the game?

"A game devoid of creativity or emotional connection won't impress players.

"We weren't really inspired by any other games. Instead, we decided to make something truly unique and try and make it the best game possible.

"You can feel this as soon as you open Piano Tiles 2."

Which song is most played by the community of players and why do you think this is?

"Surprisingly, it's Qing Shi Xiang (Bluestone Alley). Some of our overseas players uploaded a video of them playing this song on our fan page.

"Other hits were classic songs like Canon, For Elise, and more challenging songs like Flight of the Bumblebee."

Will there be a Piano Tiles 3? And, if not, what are you working on right now?

"We are looking forward to bringing Piano Tiles 3 to you with a few surprises.

"We would love to become a bridge between China and abroad, letting people know more wonderful games."

Piano Tiles 2 is out right now in the App Store [download] and Google Play [download].
