The inaugural Esports World Cup has been going from strength to strength, drafting big names such as Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Honor of Kings ahead of the show this summer, however, they might have just landed the coup de grace of tournaments, adding the PUBG Mobile World Cup to their schedule.

This first PUBG Mobile World Cup will see the world’s best players duke it out for a piece of the 3 million dollar prize pool during the Esports World Cup. We have also got the official roster of the 39 PUBG Mobile Partner teams representing Southeast Asia, EMEA, and The Americas.

For the World Cup, the 24 best teams will be invited to take part, with five from Southeast Asia, four from Central and South Asia, four from EMEA, three from The Americas, two from China, one for South Korea, one from Japan, and the victor from the PUBG Mobile Rivals Cup. Finally, there will be two teams getting a special invite, and whoever wins the Global Open 2024. In short, quite a wide net.

Kicking off the tournament will be the Group Stages, with all teams trading blows back and forth until half are booted out, leaving a lucky dozen to advance to the Main Stage Event. Fret not though, as the twelve losers will fall into the Survival Stage where they, along with four teams from the Super League, will battle for the last four Main Stage slots. After this, the sixteen will enter a grand melee to win the overall title.

When announcing their involvement, the Senior Director of Global Esports Center, James Yang, said: “The PUBG MOBILE World Cup will take the success of PMWI and bring the tournament to a whole new level. In 2024, our midseason tournament is going to be more competitive, more thrilling, and more important than ever before”.

PUBG Mobile is available to download from the App Store and Google Play.
