If you were lucky enough to receive the gift of VR in the form of Google Cardboard or Gear VR this holiday, you're probably itching to test out your new gadget with the best the platform has to offer. While we still have a lot of learning to do when it comes to VR, there are quite a few excellent VR games and apps already ripe to download. Here are our favorites.

Full Dive
Full Dive lets you take in all your media through VR -- you can watch YouTube videos, stream Netflix, look at photos, and much more without taking off your headset. Just remember to take a break every once in a while.

Land's End
Brought to you by the makers of Monument Valley, this stunning VR experience is the result of Ustwo Games' experiments with VR and exploration. Players are given the lofty task of awakening an ancient civilization with their minds. Drawing inspiration from locales across the globe, Land's End is one of the best games for VR on the market.

End Space
End Space is an arcade shooter in impressive 3-D, sci-fi clothes. Man your ship and become one of the best pilots in the galaxy by using weapons (fully upgradable) to take out the Resistance. After fierce firefights, you're free to explore the galaxy aimlessly, and recent updates even allow you to play controller-free.

Hidden Temple
Hidden Temple brings the point and click genre into the future. It's one of the best looking mobile VR games, and its hands-free controls make puzzle solving and item collecting a breeze. The game has you exploring crumbling, eerie dungeons in order to collect artifacts and make your escape.

Mobile is one of the most accessible platforms for VR right now, so if you're itching to try out his exciting new technology, investing in a Google Cardboard or Samsung Gear headset is a great way to get started. These games are all excellent examples of what VR on mobile devices can really do.
