State of Survival gears up for the Open Season 2 later this month
It's time to man those defences and load those guns, as FunPlus announces the impending State of Survival Doomsday Open Season 2 competition. Take some time out from killing zombies and turn those guns on your friends, as any player can enter for a chance to be the ultimate survivor.
The registration stage is underway, lasting until February 16th, so if you want to get involved make it quick. It only started February 12th - they certainly didn’t want to mess around much getting this one set up. For players and alliances interested in taking part, jump in-game and sign up.
After this, the action starts almost immediately on February 19th with the Group Stages. This will be spread out across three rounds, lasting until March 2nd. These will be some hectic action-filled weeks and will see the tournament shed its competitors at an alarming rate, leading to more intense fun.
From March 5th until 23rd, we will be in the Top 16 Knockout, where the real fun begins. The top competitors who survived the mass melee will be clashing in head-to-head, winner-takes-all matches. At the end of this, only half of the combatants will be left to take part in the next stage.
The Top Eight Double Eliminations will take place between March 24th to April 15th. If someone fails here, then it isn’t the end of the road, as each player will be allowed a second chance. It is a pretty interesting-sounding approach that could give us some pretty interesting strategies, especially in matchups against those with one live against someone with two.
Finally, we will be treated to The Final Showdown, from April 16th to 22nd. This is where the best of the best will clash and determine who is the best of the best. Only one winner will stand tall, earning bragging rights, and a custom-designed prize package, and then will immediately be overwhelmed by zombies because they killed all the other defenders.
