There are plenty of silly or otherwise fantastical racing games out on mobile, but the more authentic racing experience is harder to come by. If you're itching for some realistic racing, Gear.Club might do the trick. This slick litle game is about staying true to life on the road in a series of short races, and it boasts an addictive management sim on the side.

You might not be used to Gear.Club's rules of the road, especially as far as car handling goes. We're here to help you through those early learning moments with this trusty guide. Read on!

Learn how to control your car
Gear.Club does offer driver's aid if you're still getting used to things, but eventually you may want to turn all of that off. It's not as scary as it sounds, either. The most important thing to remember is that this is not a game about drifting. Going too fast into a turn could spell disaster. Instead you'll want to practice fine control, strategically braking throughout the course while steering with small, subtle movements.

If you need extra help, follow the guidance arrows on the road which signal upcoming turns. Once those arrows turn yellow, you know it's time to brake or risk driving through a guard rail.

Don't get too aggressive
This is not a demolition derby. While some games reward aggressive taps to your neighbors' bumpers, doing so in Gear.Club will not help you in the slightest. It will do damage to your car that you'll then have to repair in the workshop with in-game currency, slowing down your progress quite a bit. It's fine to be competitive, but play nice.

Participate in flash events
If you want cash to upgrade your cars and buy shiny new models, or even that elusive coffee machine, you'll either have to pay real life money or find some other means. Those other means come in the shape of flash events. You can participate in these temporary little events as you play, pitting you against other players. If you come out victorious, you'll have a nice stache of money to spend at the workshop.

No one said racing was easy, but these tips should make things go a bit better for you when you're out doing laps on the circuit.
