The latest game from Illusion Labs, the app masters behind Best App Ever winner Labyrinth 2 and nominees TouchGrind and Sway have released a tabletop Foosball game for the iPad. Just in time to relive the USA vs. England World Cup match the way it should have ended.
I got a chance to play a the game during WWDC while the guys were here in SF. It’s a fun and very natural feeling game for the iPad. Simplified a little for the screen, each player has fewer bars and players to control. The ball movement is particularly well done as is the lighting on the players. Don’t get me wrong, there’s still plenty of complexity possible in the shots.
The game works either as a single or multiplayer game, but as with most games, it’s much more fun with 2 or more. You could play 2-on-2 as well — though if you have big fingers, the screen might get a little cramped. If you have an iPad, this is a great example app to show people, and it’s pretty fun too. Foosball HD is available now, in the App Store, for $0.99.Blog, First Looks
