Flippy Knife Guide - How to get a high score in every mode

Flippy Knife takes flip the bottle games to the extreme, substituting an unassuming plastic bottle with a sharp knife. Through a variety of gameplay modes, you're mission is to collect a high score by flinging your knife, point first, into a variety of targets.

It's a unique, and certainly exciting, approach to the high score chaser. With dozens of different knives to unlock, and a variety of gameplay modes to master, there's a lot to dig into. We have a few tips to help you get started.

You don't have to flick the knife

If you're familiar with similar physics-based games, you may be inclined to flick the knife to give some momentum. Resist that urge.

Flippy Knife simplifies things a bit by giving you a guiding line to help you aim your knife. Drag the line to your desired target. Know that putting your line in the exact place you want the knife to hit isn't a guarantee for success. You'll need to account for the knife's weight and speed as well, and adjust your aim accordingly. That leads us to our next tip.

Practice using different weapons

Every weapon is unique -- from the teeny tiny multi-tool to the clunkier butcher's knife. They each have their own weight and feel, and you'll need to practice using each if you want to master all of the tools at your disposal. Certain knives are better for certain modes, so do some experimenting.

For example, I tend to prefer a slightly heftier knife for doing target practice, but a smaller knife for the climbing mode. Find out what you're the most comfortable with.

Target practice

If you're just starting out, spend some time playing in the target mode. It tends to be the easiest, and it's also a good mode for trying out different knives. A good word of advice is that you don't necessarily line your guiding line up right next to the target. Sometimes your aim will be more accurate if you set the line slightly away from the target.

It's a great level for earning enough cash to unlock new knives. Strive to get a combo, and you'll win a chest full of extra gold.
