MU Origin, Webzen’s highly popular fantasy MMORPG is getting ready to shake things up for the second time this year, as a new update makes its way to the Google Play and App Store from today. Introducing new systems, modes, and events, the land of MU is once again in need of thrill-hungry adventurers.
The first thing veterans will notice upon loading up the freshly-updated MMORPG , are the suite of new systems each capable of majorly influencing how players interact with the world. Most of note is update 1.7’s introduction of the Soul Stone system, which for the first time ever offers players the means to apply various unique elemental changes to their character, giving them an edge before entering battle.
As well as a slew of other substantial systems, the new update introduces two significant all-server gameplay options, ideal for those looking to get their EXP and achievement point fix. First up is Battle Core, an all-new event which acts as a race against time, requiring players to be the first to reach 1,000 points. From gathering chalices to defeating opposing warriors, balanced match-making assures victory is dependent on skill, and skill alone.
Also keeping things fresh is Battlefield of Heroes, a new PVP system beyond servers that sees an incredible 100 warriors enter the fray to do battle with each other. 50 v 50 madness is open for business every Tuesday and Friday between 21:00-22:25, rewarding those who succeed in mining, boss hunting, and everything else Battlefield of Heroes may throw at you.
Webzen have used this opportunity to implement plenty of minor tweaks and fixes too, making for the smoothest MU Origin experience yet. Update 1.7’s new content is free to try out within MU Origin from today on both iOS and Android.
