Knight Fever is a new take on the classic RPG, now on Android

Posted by Andreea Ghiurca on July 27th, 2017

Knight Fever lands on the Google Play, and you won’t want to miss it if you’re a devoted RPG fan. Developed by indie creatives Buff Studios, the game looks like a retro RPG with some exciting new twists.

While it may look familiar in all of its pixelated glory, Knight Fever foregoes turn-based battles for an interesting lane-based system. Upon entering combat, you’ll be presented with four lanes, each occupied by one of your heroes. You’ll need to ensure that the battle goes well in each lane if you want to get out of the fight alive. It’s certainly a more action-packed take on the usual RPG mechanics.

Knight Fever’s full launch also introduces the Gold Dungeon. Adventurers who complete this special area earn generous amounts of gold to be spent at the General Shops and the Peddler. It’s a great way to earn experience and save for that superior equipment you’ve been coveting.

You’ll also have access to the Hero’s Altar, which gives you more daily freebies, including summons, crafting materials, Heroes, and more.

Publisher WEBZEN is getting in on the launch day fun, too, by releasing a Knight Fever animated short that you can watch right now. [link]

You can now play Knight Fever for free on Google Play.

Armored Kitten wants you to pounce on some zombies; launches today

Posted by Andreea Ghiurca on July 6th, 2017
+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad

It’s time to suit up and get ready to guide a cute and cuddly kitty through raging gunfights against hordes of zombies and other nasty monsters in Armored Kitten, the latest title from GameSpire.

This thrilling twin stick shooter will test your mettle as you work your way through the “Massacre” single player campaign. All you have to rely on is the gun in your paws and your instincts as you make your way through a series of unique environments that are fully destructible. Locales like Mars’ Surface, the Bio Lab, and Hydroponic Garden are sure to all present their own unique challenges, whether that means tricky monsters or environmental tests.

Once you’ve mastered that, you may want to give Survival Mode a go, which presents a dastardly arcade challenge. The goal is to kill as many monsters across a host of procedurally generated levels before you die. Can you beat your personal high score?

You won’t have to go into battle unaided, though. There are over 20 weapons to unlock, each with their own unique strengths. On top of that, you’ll find a dizzying number of armour sets and combat skills on your adventures that will give you the option to customize the Armored Kitten of your dreams, and jump into battle with your own tailored strategies.

Armored Kitten could very well be the charming summer hit you need for those lazy dog days. It’s out on the App Store and Google Play right now.

Dive into epic summer adventure with Oceans & Empires’ new update

Posted by Andreea Ghiurca on June 28th, 2017
+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad

Summer may be the best time to enjoy ocean adventures, and now you don’t even have to leave the comfort of your own home, thanks to the folks at Joycity, creators of Oceans & Empires. The old-timey naval MMO is getting a sizable new June Grand Update that brings a host of new gameplay elements, just in time for vacation.

Players will team up this summer to take on Aestaros, a new Boss Monster challenging adventures to a Rally Attack. Players have to work together in perfect unison to take down the beast, but fortunately that’s made easier with the addition of the new global chat system that lets all players talk, regardless of their server. A new preset function works to streamline combat, too, allowing players to swap between Skill palettes with a single tap of their finger. If you're itching to get new loot in Alliance battles, you now only need to be VIP level four, rather than eight, to “Receive All” on Alliance rewards.

Ships get a boost too, now that you can add figureheads to give your ship a unique look and new buffs. You can rename each ship you add to your fleet, too, to keep things nice and organized. There are other new buffs and items to discover outside of these figureheads, though, including Ship DurabilityBuffs, along with items such as Voyage Speed Up 75% and Random Equipment Ticket.

Smaller adjustments like enhanced purchase methods and the option to retrieve inactive Alliance Buildings give even more incentive to dust off your battleship and set sail.

Oceans & Empires is available to download on iOS and Android.

MU Origin’s new update offers exciting changes for new and old players alike

+ Universal App - Designed for iPhone and iPad

MU Origin is kicking off the summer with style. Its latest update is a real doozy, offering up plenty of fresh content. New challenges, some extra help for newcomers, and new costumes are just a few of the things you will find in the new patch.

Players will now be able to join upwards of 100 other players in the Land of Ordeal, a new Server Boss Field that features five new boss monsters. This event is open on Saturdays and Sundays by registration only (you can do so in-app). Players get 30 minutes to work together to defeat the five bosses and their accompanying monster minions. Loot and treasure await those who dole out the most damage.

For those with more experience under their belts, the new all-server area, Kalutan, might appeal. Accessible by players of 10 Rebirth or higher who pay the 15,000 Zen entrance fee, Kalutan allows you to group up with folks across all servers.

If you’re starting fresh, fear not. You haven’t been forgotten. The update also introduces the New Warrior Event, designed with beginners in mind. This seven day event kicks in after you create a new character and provides support for newbies by way of Login Rewards, Recharge Rewards, 7-Day Goals, and 7-Day Limited Sales.

No MMORPG is complete without a place to call home in between all of that adventuring. You can do just that with the new Domain System, a new base-building feature. Players hire workers to develop up to four buildings -- an Observatory, Tower of Magic, Gate of Ordeal, and Tower of Battle. As you develop these new constructs you’ll gain Star Essence, Gems, Achievements, or Fame.
