App Description
LightDance was inspired by a joyful little girl called Alexis. Alexis is visually impaired but she is still able to detect and respond to light and she loves colors.
At Philips Research we spend our time exploring ideas for new applications for the Philips Hue system and Alexis got us thinking. Since she cannot use the normal apps, we thought, what if she could interact with light through movement or by dancing? Therefor, we made this app to try this out! LightDance enables Alexis, and you as well, to play with light by jumping, dancing, waving, swaying, or any other way of moving that you can think of!
Since we are researchers we would really love to hear your opinion and thoughts on this app so we can learn and improve it. Did your children enjoy playing with it? Did you? What did they like or dislike? How did they move? How was it to set up the app? Please share your experience with us.
REQUIREMENTS
Requires the Philips hue starter pack (3 Philips hue bulbs and hue bridge).
