Taxation Without Representation: Taxes and the American Revolution explores the history of the United States with 18th-century documents that highlight the role taxes played in the American Revolution.

Outrage over unjust taxation was one of the chief causes of the American Revolutionary War. Taxation Without Representation brings together more than 50 original documents relating to the turbulent period that culminated in the Declaration of Independence. The app includes broadsheets, newspaper articles, pamphlets and books that tell the story of colonists' opposition to the Stamp Act, Townshend Acts and Tea Act. A history of early British taxation and works on later American tax rebellions of the 1780s and 90s are also included.
