App Description

iEvolve simulates "artificial natural selection". Simple resource consuming organisms evolve over time to become better at consuming resources and reproducing.

An experimenter interested in evolution can use this app to test hypotheses such as:

• "If an initially identical population is subjected to two sets of differing selective pressures, will they eventually become two differing species?"

• "If a population experiences steadily decreasing levels of resources, will they adapt to cope?"

• "Will the number of individuals rise and fall in a cycle over time?"

• "What effect will asteroids have?"
