After much nominating and deliberating, the votes for the 7th Annual Best App Ever Awards have been tallied and the results are in. Congratulations to ustwo and Monument Valley for being selected at this year's Best App Ever!
It's time once again to figure out which mobile apps reign supreme with the 7th Annual Best App Ever Awards.
This year's nominees have been hand-picked from, well, everything. All the apps. And now that the hard part is over with, all you have to do is head on over to the official site to cast your vote by July 3. That's a bit over a month away, so you've got plenty of time to vote in all the categories.
The winners will be announced during Pocket Gamer Connects in San Francisco, which takes place on July 7 and 8.
With 1,500 apps nominated for over 30 categories, over two months, it's been a fantastic success at finding the very best apps and games out there. Here are the winners:

We are very proud to announce the launch of the 6th Annual Best App Ever Awards!
Now in the 6th year, the awards received over 5 million votes last year! The Best App Ever Awards were created to help bring attention to the favorite apps and games of the fans of iOS and Android devices, not the best selling. Each year fans help us pick the best apps and games in dozens of categories and award the developers well deserved praise.
The iOS award nominations will be open through January 15th, 2014. At that point we will tally the nominations and announce the final nominees for the 6th annual awards. Voting will open shortly after that.
The voting for the iOS awards will open on January 16th, 2014 and run through March 1st, 2014. The winners will be announced during the 2014 Macworld / iWorld Expo in San Francisco, March 27-29, 2014.
In an awards celebration in beautiful Barcelona earlier today, the winners of the 5th Annual Best App Ever Awards were announced. It has been an amazing year for apps and an amazing year for the Best App Ever Awards. Receiving over five million votes, the awards this year reached a new pinnacle.

That's right, if you submit votes through the app you'll have nearly an extra week of voting.

Created with the goal of building public awareness of the very best apps available, not just the best-selling apps, the Best App Ever Awards has a broad set of award categories covering both apps and games. The categories focus on the quality of the app design, the overall usefulness, and the fun factor. The awards are now open to receive nominations for apps and games in all 32 categories. Nominations will close on December 31st.
Once all nominations are totaled, verified, and calculated, we'll take the top 10 nominations for each division (iPhone/iPod Touch and iPad) in each category and open them up to you, our readers to vote for the best. In addition, the 10 apps that get the most nominations overall, across all categories will compete for the title of Best App Ever.
On January 2nd, we'll post the nominees for all categories and voting will start. Winners will be announced at the 2011 Macworld Expo.

The voting has been rather brisk this year. We've more than doubled the number of votes we got last year and there are still a few more days of votes to come in.
The winners will be announced on February 10th at Macworld in San Francisco. And to celebrate the nominees and the winners we will be having a party at Jillian's in the Sony Metreon, right next to the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco.
