Phonics with Alien is a fun educational game with a super cute character for your 3-5 year old to teach beginning to read in a fun way. The game has been developed with early years and primary school teachers in the UK to match the learning style used in education. We currently teach stage one of learning to read with more stages coming soon.
The game is simple and really fun! Each game speaks instructions and your child can pick the right answer or can choose to explore the sounds of the letters they see on screen.
Every time a letter is tapped the game speaks the sound the letter makes. Instead of teaching kids letter names, which come later, this app teaches the phonetic sound the letter makes, just like they will start to learn in school. The game also encourages children to sound out short words and to start blending sounds together, which is the foundation of reading.
