App Description
The Diocese of Rockville Centre was established in 1957 and encompasses 1,198 square miles in Nassau and Suffolk Counties. The diocese serves approximately 1,737,498 baptized Catholics (total population in both counties is approximately 3.4 million) and consists of 134 parishes (1 campus parish) in 115 towns.
There are almost 37,000 students engaged in Catholic education within the Diocese of Rockville Centre. Of these students; over 19,000 attend Catholic elementary schools, almost 13,000 attend Catholic secondary schools, and 3,500 attend Catholic higher institutions on Long Island. The diocese consists of 43 parish and regional elementary schools; 4 independent elementary schools; 2 parish high schools; 3 diocesan high schools; 5 independent high schools; and 1 Catholic college.
